Faetino is a farmhouse but also a farm with 35 hectares of land. Immersed in the greenery of the beautiful Sienese hills, it is located in the heart of Tuscany, just in the Val d'Elsa, not far from San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, Siena and Florence. The ideal place to spend a holiday immersed in nature and the many activities that can be done right inside the farm.
Faetino has a 25-hectare woodland, ideal for relaxing walks, but also for jogging or nordic walking. The vast forest, it is also ideal to observe life in the wild. Dedicated to animal lovers who in this corner of nature can see wild boars, hares and all the other animals of our geographic area,Il Faetino also offers the opportunity to gather mushrooms that can be easily found when the season is right.
The main activity of the farm is the breeding of pigs and their transformation into tasty and genuine products that can be tasted and purchased directly on the spot.
The area also includes the lake where you can fish: trout, carp and sturgeon, depending on the season. The orchard and the small vineyard are an essential part of our farm, as well as the restaurant where you can eat freshly made meals almost at Km 0!
Wood of wood, orchard fruits, wine from our vineyard, fresh eggs, the tasty meat of our pigs ... Faetino is a small world that moves according to the rhythms of countryside and nature. Different products for different seasons, sometimes forgotten by those who, unfortunately, have no opportunity to live here. For this reason, over the years, we have "adopted" so many animals that live in the mini-zoo, an extra occasion for children (... and for adults) to see animals living in a farm . Wild boars, pigs, hares, but also ostriches, peacocks and pheasants, geese and ducks coming from different countries around the world!
